Provincial Labour Market Strategy


1.       Development: adequate and appropriate skills and support are needed to ensure continued economic support.

                                 i.            Improved education outcomes,

                                ii.            Skill matching of education and jobs

2.       Retain: the magnitude of the challenge requires expanding our labour force.

                                 i.            Maximize human capital including opportunity to achieve potential

3.       Support: remove the barriers individuals face accessing employment and education opportunities.

4.       Attract: skilled workers from other parts of Canada and the world are needed to address labour shortages.

Miscellaneous Note

·         Saskatchewan has the 4th highest retention rate in Canada behind Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver
