Moment with the Mayor: Priorities for 2015

Hi Neighbours:

Council has been reviewing our CAO and part of the process is to outline key results to be achieved in 2015. The key results are tied to the strategic plan and are listed below.

Communications
·         Informed public
·         Adaptation and implementation of Communication Plan
·         Branding
·         Improved relations with partners and stakeholders
Financial Stewardship
·         LTFP (Long-term Financial Plan)
·         Waste Water Planning
·         WCCC (West Central Community Centre) preparation
·         Trending towards 50% cost recovery at WCEC and 100% at the Waste Management Site
·         Focus on developing financial partnerships for capital products including: federal & provincial gov’t, P3 partners, and donors
Growth
·         Implement Growth Plan including developing a Rec Plan, and insert KHS NA (Kindersley Health Services Needs Assessment) Report. To be implemented as conditions warrant.
·         Preliminary work for Waste Water Disposal, Water Treatment Plant,
·         Facilitating new housing
·         WCCC
·         Fire Hall – commence construction
·         Implement Traffic Plan
·         Preparation for City Status Application
Infrastructure
·         Implement Growth Plan including developing a Rec Plan, and insert KHS NA Report. To be implemented as conditions warrant.
·         Asset Management Plan and implementation
·         New regional landfill commenced
Organizational Effectiveness
·         Improve capacity and recruitment of effective employees including new relevant training opportunities
·         Human Resources support outsourced
