2015 Men's & Women's SK Masters Curling Championship

This evening I had the privilege of welcoming the competitors to the 2015 SK Men's and Women's Masters Championship. Teams from around the province, including the National Women's Champions Team Kopach of Saskatoon. Our very own Team 'Fancy' Feist is also competing. The bonspiel ends on the 15th. Admission prices are pretty modest if you are looking for something to do check out the curling.

·        Thank you and welcome to the 2015 Masters Curling Championships

·        On behalf of Council and Town of Kindersley, I want to welcome you to our community and to the West Central Events Centre

·        It’s our privilege to host the Masters and enjoy some of the finest curling Saskatchewan has to offer

·        Congratulations to all of the teams who have come to compete including the reigning National Women’s champ Team Kopach and Kindersley's own Team 'Fancy' Feist.

·        May you represent your communities well and enjoy some camaraderie with your fellow curlers

·        Kindersley has a proud history of hosting large sporting events, most recently with the World Junior A Hockey Challenge in December and we are looking forward to our time with you

·        I hope you take an opportunity to tour the Events Centre, perhaps take a walk around the track between games, and enjoy some food and drink from our vendors

·        Kindersley continues to grow and those of you who may not have visited here for several years may notice an abundance of new hotels and stores.

·        It isn’t just oil, gas, and agriculture driving Kindersley, it is also the imagination of our people as we imagine a new normal and build towards it

·        If you have time, make yourself at home by visiting downtown and the mall, walk around the Motherwell Reservoir walking trail, and enjoy the warm weather that’s been forecasted for this week.

·        I trust you’ll feel at home in Kindersley and enjoy your visit.

·        Thank you to our hosts, the Kindersley Curling Club, for their hard work in preparing for this bonspiel and the many events they bring to Kindersley every year.

·        And thanks to all the fans and supporters who have come to cheer and enjoy the games.

·        We all benefit from a successful event and I hope every one of you has a great time.

·        Good luck!
