11th Ave Truck Parking

Have you seen the trucks parking along 11th Ave W recently? At 10:00 PM on July 9th I counted 17 trucks parked between A&W and Crossroads Hotel.

The parking along this stretch of road will be addressed, hopefully, by this weekend. New signs will be erected shortly when more arrive. The intent is to prohibit parking on the south side of 11th Ave. Parking will only be allowed on the north side of 11th Ave.

Next week we are expecting the completed transportation study. It is Council's intent to implement it in a timely fashion. The consultants are addressing a number of challenges we are having. Some of the items we are expecting include: limited time parking in front of the Town Office so people who come in can stop in front of the office, addressing speed issues and traffic flow, as well as safety. I have yet to see it but am looking forward to it. A contentious issue may be the discontinuation of the stop lights along Main St.
