Things are moving along nicely for a new fire hall. The Town and the RM are working well together. Ron Hope, our committed Fire Chief has found considerable savings bringing the price of the building below $2 million.
One of my concerns is that we not cut too many corners that prolong the time it takes our crews to turn around a truck. One of the issues we face is employer fatigue. Our crews are busier and take time away from work resulting in lost productivity and revenue for our employers. By committing to reduce the time away from the job it is hoped we can reduce lost productivity and lost revenue thus reducing employer fatigue.
