Minister Reiter provided a lengthy response to my letter regarding the need for timely and accurate data. Based on the letter we are beginning what could be a lengthy correspondence.
The Minister's staff looked into my suggestion and have expressed some concerns from a practical perspective as well as some legislative concerns.
We'll have to wait and see but I have heard that the province of Alberta and the North West Territories use health data as part of their funding formula. I am checking this to ensure what I have heard is accurate.
