A Day at the WCEC

I spent a part of the Saturday at the WCEC. The place was busy which is good. Council has directed Administration to work towards 50% cost recovery. The best way to reach our goal is to have the place as busy as possible. Here are some photos from Saturday; they were taken within about half an hour of each other.
Parents at the SoccerJam. April 25, 2015
SoccerJam was organized by SaskSoccer and a former Kindersley resident was back in town as part of her responsibilities with SaskSoccer. Yes, I have forgotten her name.
SoccerJam Drills. April 25, 2015.
According the President of Minor Soccer, Janelle (I've forgotten her new married name; nee Graham), more than 80 kids signed up for SoccerJam.
Spring Hockey. April 25, 2015
On the other side of the rink one of the spring teams was practising.
SoccerJam. April 25,  2015
Back to the soccer area, my son's age group took to the pitch. We really need to purchase a subfloor so more activities can take place. It's on my wish list and hopefully it will happen for the winter of 2016.

SoccerJam was coached by the University of Regina Cougar's Women's Soccer head coach and a couple of players.
Soccer Referring Clinic. April 25, 2015
Meanwhile, the upstairs conference room was packed with people gaining their referee certification.
Spring Hockey 'AAA' Team. April 25, 2015.
One of the spring teams was also doing dryland training while the other Spring Team was on the ice.

Our goal is to have the WCEC busy like this all the time.
