Wednesday evening Patty Brotzel-Close and a contingent of volunteers along with the RCMP hosted the first Bike Rodeo in Kindersley in some time. It was well organized to assess kids skills and safety mindedness and the RCMP examined every child's bicycle ensuring it was safe for the road.

The event was at the WCEC parking lot. Approximately 25 children participated and each one received a free helmet.

I hope the organizers do it again next year and that more children participate. Actually, I wouldn't mind participating if they do it again next year.
