FCM: A Call for a Leaders Debate on Municipal Issues

FCM has been putting pressure on the leaders to have a debate surrounding municipal issues. To apply pressure they are asking for people to sign a petition.

Here is an example of how federal policies affect your property taxes. Of all the infrastructure in Kindersley and leading to Kindersley, the Town owns about 70% of it while the Feds own less than 10%. Our property taxes make up approximately 10% of all tax revenue collected. Lest we forget: in the last forty years investment in agriculture has dropped from 3% of GDP to less than 1%.

There is an opportunity for the Federal government, and the Province, to contribute more.

To review the petition and sign if you are so inclined please click here.
