infrastructure to work and be developed together
- We need to be collaborative at all levels to build healthy communities
- Social infrastructure is
ability to play, work, and live together
- 1 in 5 give more than the
other 4 together in both time and money
- 9% is giving a full day of
work while the rest do a coffee break worth of work
- With right physical space
it makes socializing easier
- Allow people to innovate, to think outside of the box to create community
- Connection between design of space and social interaction is important
- In the past design has
eliminated disease and poor transportation, now need socially productive
space
- Neighbourhood design to foster community - good design leads to healthy communities
