Alice Cooper: Thank You Volunteers!

The Alice Cooper concert was a success by all accounts. a key ingredient in its success was the work of a host of volunteers. I would like to begin by thanking Kim Vogel on her concert hosting skills; well done Kim! Behind Kim and making it look great were a lot of people including:
  • the front counter staff at the Town Office
  • the bar workers including:

  • the KMS Midget Hockey Team unloaded the band and thank you to Monica Shields for keeping them organized.
  • for the use of their refrigerated trailer thanks go to Ernie Paslawski & Neil Clark.
  • for their hardwork thank you to the WCEC Staff of Chris Campbell, Dave Lewis, Jeff Holmes, Kim Leonard, Jesse Desjarlais, Kim Russell, and Shane McLean.
  • for some heavy lifting of putting down the floor, glass removal, and lifting the netting thanks go to Public Works including:

I hope that you had a good time if you happened to take in the concert.

On a policy note: Council has encouraged administration to strive for more revenues from the facilities. Hosting concert events like this is one way to achieve our cost recovery goals.

If you have any suggestions for concerts please let the Town know. Who knows, it might be possible. We won't know if we don't ask.
