G-Macs is a good example of one of our local businesses
working to make Kindersley a great community in which to live. For the past 8
years G-Macs has been using approximately 70 acres on the east side of
SaskPower and the east side of Wal Mart as a demonstration plot for various
seed varieties and crop-inputs. Based on the sale of the particular year’s
crop, which may be canola, barley, lentils, wheat and soybeans on a four year
rotation, the profit has been donated to the Kindersley and District Hospital
Foundation. So far the project has raised more than $124,000. This year’s crop
is going to be wheat.
A big thank you goes out to G-Macs for their community
support.
