Every year for the past 75 years the volunteers at
Ducks Unlimited have been working to conserve Canada's wetlands. In Kindersley they have been working for more than 30 years. Recently, they have been working with the Walking Trail Committee. A project the two groups collaborated on was the development and installation of the various signs along the trail educating walkers about the animals in and around the reservoir including the rubbing stone used by the buffalo.

Great turnout for the Ducks Unlimited Dinner, Oct 19, 2013 |
Tonight's dinner filled the ballroom at the Kindersley Inn with approximately 190 people with an abundance of donated items up for raffle, silent auction, and auction. I hope that it was the success the group was looking for.
One of Kindersley's early mottos was "The land shall provide." That motto has been prophetic propelling Kindersley's growth.
Ducks Unlimited have been working to ensure that the wetlands in our area do not become depleted like so many wetlands across Canada. According to Ducks Unlimited the equivalent of 45 soccer pitches of wetlands are lost daily. To learn more about Ducks Unlimited click

On a personal note: for the first time since her accident my wife attended an event with me; it was good. We left early so it wouldn't adversely affect her.
