Waste Management Canada, the contractor collecting our home and commercial garbage, will be resuming home and commercial garbage collection Tuesday October 15.
Our waste management facility will be reopening after Thanksgiving on Tuesday morning. However, there will be changes so operations will not be overwhelmed.
Accepted waste is limited to:
- Kindersley only household and commercial garbage that is baleable,
- Kindersley only concrete and asphalt, and
- Kindersley only compost and regular recyclable materials.
To our regional neighbours, I am sorry for the inconvenience this causes you but we have some limitations we are dealing with.
An to our industrial partners in Town and around the region I regret to tell you that the site cannot accept:
- industrial waste,
- construction waste, and
- demolition material.
Again, I do apologize for this inconvenience as we begin operations again at the landfill. More updates over the weeks and months will be provided.
I would like to be a good neighbour to our regional neighbours but at this time we do not have the capacity to receive materials from outside the Town of Kindersley's limits. I am sorry about this but we have new limitations.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as things slowly return to normal. At this time we can't predict when things will return to normal.
